BMW R1150GS

In 2014 I had the chance to participate in a three weeks motorcycle tour through France. That was my plan for a long time, the matter was quickly decided. Unfortunately, the newly bought Nine-T was not adapted for a long trip with lots of luggage. That's why I've searched an alternative for this trip. An old, cheap touring bike. After a longer identification stage I came across the R1150GS, which was offered in my favorite colour and the needed equipment. The original plan to resell the bike after the tour was quickly abondened. For a long tour, there is simply nothing more comfortable than a GS. The engine performance is sufficient, the suspension perfect after I've mounted the Öhlins shocker, the sitting position allows daytrips around 500 km. Unfortunalty its a heap of iron, she weighs perceived 500 kg. Sure, the motorcycle is old, is has already 75000 km on the clock, but you cannot notice it. I will keep her for a while.

Also musste eine günstige Alternative für diesen Urlaub her.
