Der Leitenwaal bei Schluderns

Every year I make a tour to South Tyrol with my buddies. Only motorcycling is not enough for me, South Tyrol has so much more to offer. Since I like hiking I traveled one day earlier to walk the Leitenwaal. Waale, these are old water channels with which the water of the mountain streams was distributed on the fields. Like the Levadas on Madeira. Today only a few are still in operation, but hiking trails along the Waale have been created. From Schluderns one can go the Leitenwaal. The route is 9 kilometers long and leads across well-developed trails. A simple hike. I liked the track well. It led mostly through the forest, it was pleasantly cool, the air was good. At the end of the tour, I visited Castle Churburg, where there is the largest private collection of medieval armor and weapons. Really impressed, unfortunately one could not photograph in the castle. The next day I drove my motorcycle. :-)

Eine einfache Wanderung also. :-)
